Research & Development Manager (Food)

> Position: Research & Development (R&D) and Central Quality Assurance (CQA) Manager

Qualifications

Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/Ph.D.) in Food Technology and / or a Doctorate in Plant Protein Science / Meat Protein Science (with applications in food).

Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in R&D and Quality Assurance within food processing, plant protein, or meat processing industry

Key Responsibilities

> Research & Development

Conduct in-depth studies on the use of soy and other plant proteins in processed meat products, bakery items, snack foods, nutritional formulations, and health foods.

Analyze and benchmark international plant protein concentrates against in-house products, preparing detailed comparisons of features, advantages, and limitations.

Collaborate with plant teams to develop innovative and commercially viable food products.

Design and develop recipes using plant protein concentrates, perform laboratory trials, and optimize formulations for improved taste, texture, and mouthfeel.

Generate new product concepts aligned with market trends, nutritional requirements, and sustainability goals

Conduct trials in in-house and supplier’s pilot plants for R &D of new products and processes and take it forward for industrial implementation

Central Quality & Sustainability Assurance

Lead and oversee the central quality assurance framework across protein plants.

Ensure quality and sustainability protocols are established, maintained, and continuously improved.Support plant-level QA/QC teams with latest testing methodologies, technological advancements, and international best practices.

> Monitor compliance with food safety standards, sustainability goals, and customer requirements.

> Ensure successful execution of internal, external, and customer audits related to quality and sustainability.

> To execute technical projects for sustainability products performance and product application with external companies' clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
