Organisation & Role Overview
Global Mission Support Services (GMSS) is a strategic mission partner delivering integrated life support, healthcare, logistics and risk management solutions in complex environments worldwide, building sustainable systems that endure beyond implementation. e. GMSS currently manages the Nauru Medical Centre (NMC), the national hospital of the Republic of Nauru.
We are seeking a strategic and highly organised Research & Digital Communications Analyst to support executive leadership and healthcare initiatives related to NMC. Reporting to the Senior Research Analyst and working closely with the CEO, this role combines research, digital communications, institutional partnerships, executive support, and operational reporting in a fast-paced international setting.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Communications & Media Management
- Develop, write, publish, and manage original content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and the organisation’s website.
- Draft press releases, executive announcements, and institutional communications.
- Coordinate website content updates, working closely with developers and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Monitor social media and regional news relevant to GMSS operations and healthcare developments.
Research & Institutional Collaboration
- Identify academic and training institutions to support professional development initiatives aligned with GMSS projects.
- Explore and facilitate research collaboration opportunities with universities and healthcare institutions.
- Conduct background research to support executive decision-making and partnership development.
- Monitor healthcare trends and external developments relevant to remote and resource-constrained environments.
Executive & Strategic Support
- Support the CEO in establishing and strengthening relationships with potential healthcare partners, service providers, and institutions.
- Consolidate inputs from the Chief Medical Officer and department heads to prepare structured weekly operational reports.
- Prepare executive briefing notes, summaries, and structured documentation for senior-level discussions and CEO review.
- Coordinate meetings, track strategic action points and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, International Relations, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in research, digital communications, corporate communications, or strategic coordination roles.
- Proven experience managing professional LinkedIn and Facebook accounts.
- Strong press release drafting and executive-level writing capability.
- Experience supporting senior leadership or C-level executives is highly desirable.
- Prior healthcare, global health, or mission-driven organisational experience is an advantage.
