Job Overview
The Research Executive – Qualitative is responsible for supporting the design, execution, and delivery of qualitative research projects. The role involves managing fieldwork, moderating (where applicable), analyzing findings, and contributing to client-ready reports that generate meaningful consumer insights.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Project Execution
· Assist in the planning and execution of qualitative research projects (FGDs, IDIs, ethnographies, online communities, etc.)
· Prepare discussion guides, screeners, and research materials
· Coordinate with field teams/vendors for recruitment and logistics
· Ensure timelines, quality standards, and project objectives are met
2. Fieldwork Management
· Oversee and monitor qualitative fieldwork
· Attend / moderate / co-moderate sessions when required
· Ensure proper briefing of moderators/interviewers
· Maintain quality control during data collection
3. Analysis & Insight Generation
· Review transcripts, recordings, and notes
· Identify themes, patterns, and key insights
· Contribute to interpretation of consumer behavior, attitudes, and motivations
· Support development of actionable recommendations
4. Reporting & Deliverables
· Prepare project summaries and presentations
· Assist in report writing and visualization of insights
· Develop charts, narratives, and client-ready outputs
· Ensure accuracy and clarity of findings
5. Qualifications & Skills:
· Completed graduation – Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field
· Minimum 6 months to 1 year of work experience in the research industry.
· Strong academic interest in consumer behavior, human psychology, cultural insights, or social research
· Basic understanding of qualitative research methodologies (FGDs, IDIs, ethnography, observational research, online communities)
· Good report writing and storytelling skills
