The Birdsong Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Edward F. Domino Research Center at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate. Duties will include ordering lab supplies, animal handling/husbandry, carrying out experiments to investigate the molecules and circuits involved in mediating pain perception and addiction, and organizing and analyzing data.
High school diploma or Associate's degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or similar field and 3 months of hands-on wet lab experience is desired. Willingness to work with laboratory mice and fluency in data analysis using R and Python are also required.
