Career Summary:

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire a Research Operations and Event Analyst.

The Research Operations and Event Analyst is responsible for planning, project management, and support for research activities and events such as the annual ANE Research Symposium. This includes managing abstract and reviewer calls, abstract selection, event communications, database management, onsite event coordination and support, and event evaluation. Project management responsibilities include developing project plans; tracking project timelines, deadlines, and progress; documenting meeting minutes and decisions; managing communications; and collaborating with planning team members and key stakeholders to ensure overall success of events.

The Research Operations and Event Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand ANE business and research questions, identify and evaluate data quality and gaps, develop and execute strategies to improve data quality and gaps, develop and execute analysis plans to address these questions, and present results in various formats such as data tables, analytic reports, presentations, infographics, visualizations, and dashboards.

The Research Operations and Event Analyst must possess strong project management and problem-solving skills; be experienced in research methods and statistical techniques; and be able to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with ease.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads planning, communications, logistics, and project management for research activities such as the annual ANE Research Symposium.
  • Maintains, updates, and creates reports from databases to track abstract submissions, reviewer data, presenter data, and other information as needed.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to research events and activities.
  • Supports ANE data projects to include data management, collection, analysis, and dashboard development. Develops analytical files, including extraction of database records, conversion of spreadsheet data, cleaning (screening) data, constructing variables, and running statistical procedures. Produces technical documentation of procedures and work instructions. Participates in ongoing evaluation of data systems currently in use by ANE and identify possible improvements in use of data and related operations.
  • Collaborates with R&Q team, data governance, and other internal and external stakeholders to address key business and research questions by evaluating data availability and quality; identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement in data collection, standardization, and management; and developing and executing analytic research plans to answer key questions.
  • Supports the ANE Research Advisory Council to implement its research priorities, including coordination in the development and dissemination of reports, articles, and other publications.
  • Maintains compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Provides support to the Director and Assistant Director for Research-ISO-related activities.
  • Supports administration of the student practicum program, including data management, communications, and reporting.

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:
Education:
Masters in quantitative field required; health or behavioral sciences preferred.

Related Work Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience conducting data analytics, reporting, and dashboarding. Experience with project management such as managing events or grants administration. The ability to contribute independently and collaborate with others, take the initiative to problem-solve and identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate clearly are key to success in this role. This position requires a high level of analytical knowledge, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively among multiple deadline-driven tasks.

Skills:
  • High level of research-related analytical, problem solving, and computer skills.
  • Experience with analytics software, programming languages, and dashboarding, such as SPSS, R, Excel, SQL, Python, Databricks, and PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with a team as well as independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Work Schedule:
