Research Scientist/Engineer

The job duties of this position will be to develop hydrologically centric extreme rainfall analyses based on current WSR-88DP radars (NEXRAD) in mountainous terrain to assess the highest priorities for deployment of additional radars in order to address flood hazards in regions with poor radar coverage. The outcomes will address extreme rainfall hazard estimation for engineering design and real-time streamflow forecasting.

A PhD is required with at least 5 years of experience in a related field.
