Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences is the home of the faculty heavily involved in research and/or teaching in the Foundational and Biomedical Sciences.

Position Summary
The Research Technician position will provide technical and experimental support to ongoing biomedical research programs including assisting the Principle Investigators with laboratory maintenance, execution of experiments (bench-work), and data analysis. This position involves standard wet-lab techniques and experiences with model organisms. Specific experiences will include, but may not be limited to, cell culture and related applications, molecular biology work, murine infection models, immunohistochemistry and imaging.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Management Preferences
  • Experience with standard wet-lab techniques including molecular techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and prioritize multiple research activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student workers, temporary staff, or research personnel.
  • Strong organizational or project management skills with the ability to maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with research protocols.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while communicating effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
