Phase I of Project UNCAGE (Uncovering Nuances of Coercion and Abuse through Grassroots Exploration) aims to understand the impact of inter-parental coercive control on young adult children (18-26 years). Positioned within the transformative research paradigm, the project will employ an explanatory sequential mixed-method design to collect FL-based data followed by qualitative elaboration within small subsets from different quotas of young adult populations. The OPS Data Analyst will work closely with the project PI, and be responsible for:
Must have a completed Master's degree in a research-oriented social sciences related field (applicant can be a current Master's student if they have a post-bachelor's working experience in research); Must be proficient in using statistical software like SPSS (and Amos plugin) or R Studio or M Plus for inferential analyses on research data with guidance of project PI; Must have worked previously with complex datasets that underlie programmatic delivery within communities; Must be responsible about data sharing to protect participants and adhere to research ethics.
Current doctoral students or candidates using a socio-ecological lens in their quantitative or mixed-methods research agendas; Experience of working within the domain of gender-based violence and/or child wellbeing; Familiarity with complex analytical tools, including but not limited to structured equation modelling (SEM), multi-level modelling (or hierarchical linear model), longitudinal data analysis, and so on; Familiarity with community-based quantitative research.
