Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Reservationist & Guest Experience Specialist. This role is critical to daily operations and serves as the first point of contact for guests. You will manage reservations, assist with check-ins, support retail and rental operations, and ensure every guest has a seamless and memorable experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate reservations for surf lessons, rentals, and ocean experiences
• Welcome guests upon arrival and facilitate smooth check-in and waiver processes
• Provide accurate information regarding lesson offerings, conditions, and scheduling
• Assist with surfboard and equipment rentals, ensuring proper sizing and guest readiness
• Support retail store operations, including sales, merchandising, and inventory upkeep
• Process payments and maintain accurate records within the reservation system (FareHarbor or equivalent)
• Communicate effectively with instructors and management to ensure proper scheduling and guest flow
• Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions
• Act as a knowledgeable resource on North Shore activities, ocean conditions, and resort amenities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and retail environment
• Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, retail, reservations, or customer service preferred
• Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using reservation systems, POS systems, and basic technology (iPads, computers, etc.)
• Familiarity with the North Shore of Oʻahu is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Passion for surfing, ocean activities, and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: From $20.00 per hour
