To supervise/manager the operations of the Reservations Department during shift by assisting to co-ordinate operational plans to meet Hotel sales targets

Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell the Best Plaza West Bay Hotel products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
- Promote the Hotel’s products and services.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all Best Plaza West Bay Hotel in your region.
- Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls.
- Record and process reservations made by phone/fax/email.
- Accept wait list reservations.
- Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc.
- Manage “no show” reservations by investigation and recording of same.
- Record special billing arrangements for groups and conventions.
- Liaise with Front Office Manager or Finance Manager for all reservations requiring credit approval.
- Maintain knowledge of special rates/ offers/ promotions.
- Monitor reservation levels and inform Managers of current and future occupancy rates.
- Prepare reports as requested (eg to travel agents, business houses etc).
- Prepare reservation sales reports.
- Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation.
- Not undertake any activity which compromises their personal FLS, or the FLS of others.
- Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department.
SELF MANAGEMENT
- Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook
- Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.
- Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set by the hotel.
- Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development
- Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
- Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
- Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
- Comply with the hotel Code of Conduct
- Familiarize self with the company values and model desired behaviors.
- Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Pay: QAR2,000.00 per month
