Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting daily living activities and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support to residents in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate documentation in EMR systems.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and maintain medication records.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Implement behavior management strategies as required for residents with specific needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and assist with housekeeping tasks as necessary.
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting residents with mobility challenges.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Drive residents to appointments or community activities when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Experience using EMR systems is beneficial for documenting resident information accurately.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
