Resident Assistant/Med Tech

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
• Support residents with assisted living needs by helping with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with health standards
• Engage residents through social activities and companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Skills

• Prefer at least 6 months or more working experience in the assisted living industry and/or memory care.
• Medication Assistance certification (6 hour) ~ preferred. Company will provide training.
• CPR/1st Aid - preferred. Company will provide training.
• Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care best practices
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, personal care tasks
• Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information and medication administration
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and engage residents positively
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings
