<Job Overview>
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aides / Med Techs to join our team for evening (4p-12a) and overnight (12a-8a) shifts. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in long-term care, assisted living, or home & community care, with a focus on dementia and memory care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities through attentive caregiving and support.

<Duties>

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining compliance with health protocols.
  • Administer medications following prescribed guidelines and document medication administration using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Provide compassionate care tailored to residents’ individual needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, behavioral management, and memory support strategies.
  • Support residents during meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces.
  • Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to foster a positive community atmosphere.
  • Document resident progress and communicate effectively with nursing staff, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

<Experience>
Candidates should have prior experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or personal care homes with exposure to long-term care environments. Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR systems, group home settings, or home & community care is advantageous. A background in caregiving roles that involve behavior management. Direct Care Certification is mandatory. Certification in first aid or CPR is preferred but not mandatory; however, a genuine passion for caring for seniors and individuals with disabilities is essential.
