Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Resident Coordinator to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. This energetic role involves managing property leasing, HUD / tax credits recertification, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and fostering positive relationships with residents. The Resident Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for tenants, property management, and service providers, ensuring a smooth and efficient living environment. Duties

  • Manage property leasing processes, including tenant screening, application processing, and lease signings using property management software such as Lindsey and Boston MRI-
  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations
  • Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, and lease agreements with transparency and attention to detail
  • Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to maintain safe and attractive living environments
  • Conduct regular property inspections, oversee repairs, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing resident inquiries promptly via phone or in person while maintaining professional office etiquette
  • Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and records management using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar tools
  • Resolve conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management strategies to foster a positive community atmosphere
  • Calls backs and visits for resident satisfaction and retention

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of LIHTC programs, Landlord-tenant law, Section 8 housing regulations, and Fair Housing laws
  • Proficiency with property management software such as Lindsey and Boston MRI, or similar platforms
  • Strong legal administrative experience related to leases, contracts, and compliance documentation
  • Proven ability in property leasing, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and upselling strategies
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and relationship management capabilities
  • Experience in property management operations including maintenance coordination and facilities management
  • Familiarity with real estate administrative processes such as data entry, filing systems, and CMMS tools
  • Conflict resolution expertise combined with effective negotiation skills to handle disputes amicably
  • Office experience supporting administrative functions like filing, data entry, and document preparation
