Job Description – Resident Driver (Temporary Basis)

• Location : Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Employment Type : Temporary / Contract (Immediate Requirement)
• Joining Requirement : 01st March’ 2026 onwards
• Reporting To : Employer / Assigned Family or Company Representative

Job Purpose

To provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services while ensuring compliance with UAE traffic laws, labour regulations, and employer safety standards. The Resident Driver shall support transportation, vehicle maintenance, and assigned logistical duties as required during the temporary employment period.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transportation Duties

• Provide safe and timely transportation for employer, family members, or company representatives to offices, residences, airports, meetings, and other destinations.
• Ensure strict compliance with UAE Road & Transport Authority (RTA) traffic rules and safety regulations at all times.
• Plan and follow efficient routes considering traffic conditions and road safety requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while performing duties.
• Provide assistance during pickups, drop-offs, and carrying of personal or official items when required.
• Be available for emergency or urgent driving requirements when reasonably requested.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain assigned vehicle in excellent working condition including cleanliness, fueling, and routine inspections.
• Conduct daily checks of fuel levels, engine oil, tire pressure, brakes, and general vehicle condition.
• Immediately report mechanical faults, accidents, or damages to employer.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, registration renewals, and insurance documentation as required.
• Ensure vehicle documents such as registration card, insurance, and driving licence remain valid at all times.

Administrative & Support Duties

• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel consumption records, and service history.
• Assist with basic errands such as document deliveries, shopping, or banking-related errands when instructed.
• Support visitors, guests, or family members with transportation coordination.
• Ensure vehicle is parked safely and securely as per UAE traffic and parking regulations.

Compliance with UAE Laws and Employer Policies

• Hold a valid UAE driving licence appropriate to the assigned vehicle category.
• Maintain a clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Adhere to UAE Labour Law or Domestic Worker regulations applicable to driver employment terms.
• Observe working hours, rest periods, and overtime requirements as per UAE labour standards.
• Follow employer confidentiality, safety, and behavioural standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid UAE driving license (Light Vehicle – Mandatory).
• Minimum 2 – 5 years of driving experience in UAE.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai roads, landmarks, and traffic regulations.
• Ability to communicate in basic English (Arabic, Farsi or Hindi/Urdu considered an advantage).
• Physically fit with good eyesight and alertness.
• High level of integrity, discipline, and punctuality.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Defensive driving training or certification.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile driving applications.
• Professional conduct and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to manage schedules and multitask.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
