OVERVIEW

Our client, a well-established affordable housing management company , is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator to foster strong community relationships, support resident services, and enhance overall tenant satisfaction. This role plays a vital part in creating a positive and inclusive living environment by connecting residents with resources, coordinating community programming, and serving as a trusted liaison between residents and property management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement programs that promote community engagement and resident well-being.

  • Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and activities that encourage participation and inclusion.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents seeking resources or support services.

  • Collaborate with property management to ensure resident needs and concerns are addressed.

  • Build partnerships with local organizations and service providers to connect residents with resources.

  • Assist residents in navigating affordable housing programs, benefits, and compliance requirements.

  • Track participation and outcomes of engagement initiatives; prepare reports for management.

  • Support occupancy goals by encouraging resident retention through community-building strategies.

️ WHAT IT TAKES

  • 2+ years of experience in resident services, community engagement, property management, or a related field.

  • Experience with affordable housing programs (Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, or Tax Credit housing) preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage a diverse resident population.

  • Highly organized and proactive with the ability to manage multiple programs and events.

  • Knowledge of community resources, resident assistance programs, and support services.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with learning property management software.

  • A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive communities.
