Job Purpose
To oversee all site operations for assigned projects, ensuring the technical execution aligns with design specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The Senior Resident Engineer acts as the main technical authority on-site, coordinating between project management, design teams, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
A. Site Supervision & Technical Leadership
- Lead and supervise Site Engineers and technical staff; ensure proper implementation of design and construction plans.
B. Project Execution & Coordination
- Monitor construction activities, ensure adherence to schedule, and resolve technical issues on site.
C. Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, standards, and company QA/QC procedures.
D. Documentation & Reporting
- Review and approve site reports, submittals, as-built drawings, and maintain proper documentation flow.
E. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure site safety standards are maintained and coordinate with HSE teams.
F. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal teams for project alignment.
G. Mentoring & Team Development
- Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and site staff
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil / Structural / Engineering
- Professional Certifications: PMP or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of site engineering experience, with at least 5–8 years in a Resident Engineer role
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract documents, QA/QC procedures, and project management tools
- Soft Skills / Competencies: Leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, and mentoring
Languages: Arabic Speaker
