Job Description

CEG International is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee building construction projects in Qatar. The Resident Engineer will be responsible for supervising site activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules while acting as the client’s representative on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
• Review and coordinate technical submissions, shop drawings, and method statements
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project standards and regulations
• Monitor construction progress and report on schedule, cost, and quality issues
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Verify work completion and certify progress reports
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Participate in meetings and prepare technical and progress reports
• Support authority inspections and handover processes

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BEng, BA, or equivalent)
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Strong background in building projects
• Proven experience in construction supervision and design review
• Consultancy or supervision experience is preferred
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

Preferred

• UPDA/MMUP certification Grade - A Mandatory
• Candidates currently available in Qatar
