Key Responsibilities1. Project Supervision & Execution
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Monitor contractor performance and enforce contractual obligations.
2. Contract Administration
- Interpret and enforce contract conditions (FIDIC or similar).
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Liaise with UAE authorities (e.g., municipalities, utilities) for approvals and compliance.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and prepare reports.
4. Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high construction quality.
- Address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce HSE policies in line with UAE regulations.
- Promote a safety-first culture on-site.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
6. Project Planning & Reporting
- Monitor project schedules and progress against milestones.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
7. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor site engineers, inspectors, and technical staff.
- Delegate tasks and ensure effective team performance.
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in construction supervision.
- Extensive experience in UAE or GCC projects is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure/building projects.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent.
- Membership in recognized engineering bodies.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
- Familiarity with UAE construction laws and authority regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Expertise in reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
