Key Responsibilities1. Project Supervision & Execution

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Monitor contractor performance and enforce contractual obligations.

2. Contract Administration

  • Interpret and enforce contract conditions (FIDIC or similar).
  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Evaluate variations, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
  • Liaise with UAE authorities (e.g., municipalities, utilities) for approvals and compliance.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and prepare reports.

4. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high construction quality.
  • Address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.

5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce HSE policies in line with UAE regulations.
  • Promote a safety-first culture on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.

6. Project Planning & Reporting

  • Monitor project schedules and progress against milestones.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for stakeholders.

7. Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor site engineers, inspectors, and technical staff.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure effective team performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision-making support.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in construction supervision.
  • Extensive experience in UAE or GCC projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure/building projects.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent.
  • Membership in recognized engineering bodies.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction laws and authority regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Expertise in reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex projects.
