Resident Engineer

Experience:

Minimum 10 years (UAE experience preferred)

Job Summary:

The Resident Engineer will lead and manage on-site execution of multidisciplinary construction projects, including building, industrial, oil & gas, and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all site construction activities across building, industrial, and infrastructure projects
• Manage execution of warehouse, defense, oil & gas, and utility-related projects
• Coordinate with client, consultant, contractor, and authorities for smooth project delivery
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE regulations
• Monitor project progress, resources, and contractor performance
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC and HSE standards
• Coordinate with planning team using tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Identify risks, delays, and implement mitigation strategies
• Conduct progress meetings and prepare reports/MOM
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and project handover
• Manage snagging, de-snagging, and project close-out

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in UAE or GCC

Mandatory Project Experience:

Candidates must have hands-on experience in one or more of the following project types:

• Construction Projects
• Warehouse projects
• Defense / military infrastructure projects
• Oil & Gas Projects
• Tank farms
• Terminal projects
• Utilities / Infrastructure
• Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
• Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
• Industrial / Specialized Facilities
• Dates factory or food processing facilities
• Cold storage / temperature-controlled facilities

Technical & Functional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies for industrial and infrastructure projects
• Experience in handling multi-disciplinary coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical)
• Familiarity with UAE authority approvals and regulations
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and HSE compliance
• Proficient in planning, scheduling, and project controls
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Profile:

• Currently based in UAE
• Available to join immediately or within 10 days
• Experience with EPC contractors, PMC, or reputed consultants
• Proven track record in delivering complex, multi-sector projects
