We hire a Resident engineer (m./f.)

Location : Cairo, Egypt

Who will you be working with?

You will be the interface between car builders (Alstom, Bombardier, Siemens, CAF, …) and Wabtec’s project management teams worldwide.

How will you make a difference?

Your role will be to make sure that Wabtec’s equipment delivered for trains in Egypt (doors, HVAC, ...) meets clients’ expectations. You will solve problems locally on the field and raise quality issues to project management teams.

What do we want to know about you?

- Degree in Engineering or a related field,

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, field service, …,

- Experience in rail industry will be appreciated,

- Understanding of quality systems & product quality warranty processes,

- English fluent.

What will your typical day look like?

The ‘Resident Engineer’ will be a ‘Field Service Representative’ from Wabtec at Metro Cairo depot, who will be broadly responsible for providing technical support to customer at depot, customer management at depot and coordination with Wabtec manufacturing sites for failure analysis / repair / replacement / logistic activities for defective parts.
