- Conduct initial assessment and clinical examination of all admitted/emergency patients.
- Document patient history, vital signs, provisional diagnosis and management plan.
- Monitor patient condition regularly and update treatment charts.
- Initiate basic life support and follow emergency protocols (CPR, Code Blue, Code Red).
- Ensure timely administration of drugs, IV fluids, blood transfusions as per consultant’s orders.
- Review laboratory reports, radiology findings and escalate abnormal values to consultants.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and clinical decision-making.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care as per protocol.
- Handle medico-legal cases as per hospital policy.Provide clear communication to patients, attendants and nursing staff regarding treatment plans.
- Counsel patient relatives on condition updates, procedures and discharge planning.
- Ensure dignity, confidentiality and patient rights are maintained .
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (H&P, progress notes, treatment sheets).
- Ensure completion of consent forms, MLC forms, incident reports and discharge summaries.
- Follow all hospital SOPs, NABH guidelines, infection control (HIC) and medication safety protocols.
- Participate in audits, quality indicators, mortality & morbidity meetings.
- Manage emergency cases (trauma, cardiac arrest, poisoning, stroke, shock, etc.).
- Activate Code Blue and lead BLS/ACLS protocols until specialist arrives.
- Provide triage & stabilization of critical patients.
3. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- Valid State Medical Council Registration (Mandatory).
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years clinical experience in ICU/Emergency dept. preferred.
- Salary is negotiable for deserving candidate.
