Job Description – Duty RMO (Resident Medical Officer)
We are looking for a responsible RMO to handle hospital accounts, billing, and finance operations. The role includes patient billing, record-keeping, compliance, and supporting hospital management with financial planning.
Salary: ₹25000 – ₹45,000 per month

Qualification
- BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery) from a recognized university
- Valid registration with the respective Medical Council
Reporting To
- Medical Superintendent / Duty Doctor In-charge
Roles & Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Monitoring
- Provide round-the-clock medical coverage in the hospital/ward.
- Monitor admitted patients’ condition, vital signs, and treatment progress.
- Attend to patients’ complaints and provide first-line management.
- Assist consultants in daily rounds and follow their instructions.
- Emergency Handling
- Attend all medical and surgical emergencies promptly.
- Provide immediate life-saving measures (e.g., CPR, oxygen administration).
- Inform and escalate to senior doctors/consultants in case of critical conditions.
- Treatment & Procedures
- Administer prescribed medicines, IV fluids, injections, and minor procedures as per consultant’s orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records (progress notes, treatment charts).
- Ensure proper documentation of all medical interventions.
- Coordination & Communication
- Act as a link between patients, nurses, and consultants.
- Ensure patient’s relatives are updated about condition as per hospital policy.
- Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and support staff for patient care.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain case sheets, consent forms, and discharge summaries as directed.
- Report medico-legal cases (MLC) to concerned authorities promptly.
- Handover all patient details and ongoing treatments properly to the next duty RMO.
- Infection Control & Safety
- Follow hospital infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
- Ensure hygiene standards in wards and ICUs are maintained.
- Report any adverse events or patient safety issues immediately.
- Other Duties
- Support consultants during procedures and emergencies.
- Ensure timely completion of investigations and follow-up reports.
- Attend hospital meetings, trainings, and CME sessions as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Good clinical knowledge and decision-making ability
- Emergency handling skills (BLS/ACLS preferred)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
- Empathy and patient-centric approach
