- Conduct initial assessments and examinations of patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies as necessary.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans and interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations, providing advanced life support and resuscitation as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and facilitate multidisciplinary rounds.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information, education, and emotional support regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care, infection control, medication management, and safety standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and clinical outcomes.
