Job Title: Residential Medical Officer (RMO)

Location: Highland Community Hospital - Ujan Tarapur, Poilapool Road, Silchar-Assam-788098
Employment Type: Full-Time / Shift Basis (as applicable)
Experience Required: 1–3 years post-internship experience preferred
Qualification: MBBS from a recognized university with valid medical registration (MCI/State Council)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Medical Officer (RMO) to join our healthcare team. The RMO will be responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to inpatients, assisting consultants, and ensuring effective clinical management within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous medical care and supervision to admitted patients.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor patient progress.
  • Attend to medical emergencies promptly and provide initial stabilization.
  • Assist consultants during patient examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, case sheets, and reports.
  • Ensure timely communication of patient conditions and updates to consultants and nursing staff.
  • Oversee medication administration and review treatment plans as required.
  • Support discharge procedures and ensure follow-up instructions are properly communicated.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control policies, and ethical medical practices.

Requirements

  • MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or respective State Medical Council.
  • Prior experience as an RMO or in an inpatient/ICU setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
