We are a fast growing residential and commercial remodeling company dedicated to delivering high-quality renovations, exceptional craftsmanship, and outstanding customer service. On the residential side, our projects primarily include remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and entire homes, all the way to additions, garage builds, and new home construction. On the commercial side, we primarily deal with reuse and buildouts instead of ground-up construction.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential and Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team and help drive project success from the earliest stages.

Position Summary

The Residential and Commercial Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates for medium to large-scale residential and commercial renovation and new construction projects. This role works closely with homeowners, property owners, developers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop detailed budgets, scopes of work, and proposals that support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and gather measurements as needed.
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, permits, and other project-related costs.
• Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop scopes of work and project budgets.
• Create and present proposals to homeowners and company leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless project handoff.
• Track estimate accuracy and maintain current pricing databases.
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining project quality.
• Assist with change order pricing and budget revisions throughout projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in residential and/or commercial remodeling, renovation, or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Experience preparing detailed takeoffs and project budgets.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in estimating medium and large-scale residential and commercial renovation and new construction projects.
• Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with design-build remodeling environments.
• Experience with software such as Buildertrend, JobTread, CoConstruct, Xactimate, or similar platforms.
