Residential Assistant (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Access Ohio’s Star Center, a 7-bed mental health residential treatment facility is hiring 2nd & 3rd shift Residential Assistants, in Delaware, Ohio. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health and/or alcohol and drug treatment preferred, but not required. We are looking for a Residential Assistant to join our team and provide support to our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and housekeeping. They will also be responsible for providing emotional support and helping to create a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to residents in their daily activities.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents.
• Monitor and document resident behavior.
• Assist with meal preparation and clean up.
• Provide emotional support to residents.
• Participate in recreational activities with residents.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

Requirements and Competencies:

• High School diploma or Equivalent
• Reliable and professional
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Great customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people and client populations.
• Maintain client confidentiality and privacy
• Attend in-service training, seminars, and participates in other educational activities, as required.
• Willing to support clients in a wide range of tasks and activities.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Job Type: Full-time
