I. PURPOSE/RATIONALE
This is a full-time salary position, supervised by the Residential Director. The purpose of this position is to provide the overall leadership and direction to the House Managers needed to ensure full implementation of clients’ Individual Plans, clients’ satisfaction with the quality of services provided, and that their fundamental rights are not compromised.
II. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or
university in counseling, education, or a related human services field and at least two years of direct supervision of residential programs
or
At least four years of experience providing professional services to the developmentally disabled, which must include at least two years of direct supervision of residential programs
and
Successful completion of all DDA and agency-required training and possession of a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
III. REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact positively, effectively, and diplomatically with individuals, co-workers, community residents, family, advocates, DDA staff, Resource Coordination, and Agency staff.
Ability to provide direction, instruction, training, and support to staff working with intellectually disabled individuals.
Ability to assess problematic situations and implement appropriate and effective resolutions
Ability to respond to crises efficiently and effectively.
IV. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Maintains ongoing communication with Interdisciplinary team members, management staff, and other relevant program staff.
With the individual and other Interdisciplinary team members, ensure that the client’s Individual Plan (IP) is developed and implemented within established time frames and contains goals, outcomes, supports, and services that will assist the individual in developing the self-determination and self-advocacy skills needed to attain the highest possible level of community integration and independence.
Assures that goals and other services are implemented, monitors progress, and ensures documentation of services as specified in agency policy.
Serves as the individual’s advocate and liaison between the individual and other staff in implementing and following up on programmatic issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
