Residential Health Nurse - Male

Job Summary:

We are looking for a caring and qualified Residential Health Nurse to oversee the health and well-being of students residing in the hostel. The nurse will be responsible for providing first aid, managing minor illnesses and injuries, administering prescribed medications, maintaining health records, and ensuring that medical emergencies are handled promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary healthcare, first aid, and emergency care to students and staff within the school/hostel premises.
• Monitor students’ health, administer medications, and maintain proper medical records.
• Conduct regular health check-ups, screenings, and awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and wellness.
• Coordinate with doctors, hospitals, and parents in case of emergencies or when specialized care is required.
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of medical supplies, equipment, and first-aid kits.
• Offer emotional support and care to students dealing with homesickness, stress, or minor health concerns.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student health information.
• Assist in creating a healthy and safe residential environment in collaboration with hostel wardens and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma/Degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized institute (mandatory).
• Registration with State Nursing Council.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a residential school/hostel setting.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to handle emergencies.
• Compassionate, patient, and approachable with children and adolescents.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with school staff.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Residential position – the nurse is expected to stay on campus and be available for emergencies at all times.
• Flexible working hours based on the needs of students.
• Participate in health and safety drills, hostel activities, and parent interactions as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
