Duties

  • Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
  • Connect plumbing lines and refrigerant piping with precision, ensuring optimal system performance
  • Use technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for metal fabrication when necessary
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately assemble and install equipment
  • Conduct system start-up procedures, verify proper operation, and perform initial testing to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing HVAC systems in residential properties
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, service calls, repairs, and inspections for quality assurance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices
  • Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler systems, welding techniques, and equipment repair
  • Ability to operate field service tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical diagrams accurately
  • Experience working with air conditioning systems and ammonia refrigeration is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities in a customer-focused environment
