Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and appliances using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to optimize performance and extend lifespan.
- Install new HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes, ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Conduct property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems, including plumbing connections and refrigerant handling such as ammonia refrigeration.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute service tasks.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each job performed while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven field service experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of construction principles related to residential property maintenance and HVAC installation.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Experience working with HVAC/R equipment repair, boiler systems, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or basic mechanical repairs confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving <PERSON> driver preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
