Residential Interior Designer

TruDesign Co. Inc. is a growing design-build General Contracting company serving the south shore and greater Boston areas. We deliver top-notch customer service, we take pride in our work, and we deliver a quality finished product. Our growing company is seeking a professional Interior Designer that can handle multiple medium and large residential projects. The position is Part Time with the potential to grow to Full Time.

We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, positive, energetic, and works well in a fast-paced environment. The Interior Designer services both the overall business of the company and the needs of customers on project design and development, from pre-construction through project execution. Work to include custom single family residential renovations and additions.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

− Schedule and lead meetings with clients, from initial sales meetings to design presentations and material selections

− Create floor plans, elevations and 3D rendering design details in Chief Architect

− Create written scopes of work for projects

− Guide clients in selections process, including cabinetry, countertops, tile, hardware, paint, etc.

− Estimate project costs and perform field measurements

− Source and order project materials/schedule product deliveries

− Enter and acknowledge cabinetry orders

− Able to manage multiple projects

− Schedule and communicate with sub-contractors and vendors

− Manage selections and communications on BuilderTrend app

Experience & Education

− Proficiency in Chief Architect is required

− Experience with 2020 software a plus

− 8-10 years residential design experience required

− Associate or Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture required

− General knowledge of the residential building code

− Must be professional, reliable, punctual, and responsible

− Must be organized and detail focused

− Have knowledge of industry best practices, and latest design trends

− Good driving record, reliable vehicle, and valid drivers license required
