Duties

• Assist with the collection and removal of residential waste and recyclables using various trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, or flatbeds.
• Load and unload waste containers from trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of heavy materials through manual lifting techniques.
• Operate different types of commercial trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, following all safety protocols.
• Support the driver in maneuvering trucks around neighborhoods, ensuring minimal disruption to residents while maintaining safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues early; report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws and driving regulations during collection routes to ensure safe transportation of waste materials.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily route tasks efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
