Job Title: Residential Field Welding Technician

Job Overview

We are a family-owned, pile-driving company and we're looking to hire a full-time, year-round field welder. Work for this position is primarily outdoors at varying locations. Applicants must be willing to travel on occasion to out of town locations.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the residential field team to weld steel pipe and brackets for pile installation
• Assist with measurements and performing layout
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Fit and weld assemblies per job instructions and drawings.
• Operate vertical/horizontal band saws
• Maintain safe working environment
• Travel occasionally required

Requirements:

• MUST be located in Alaska and able to start work no later than April 7th
• MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in welding in the field
• Able to measure and fabricate
• Able to occasionally work longer hours/overtime as needed

Preferred Skills:

• SMAW certification
• FCAW and GMAW welding experience
• CDL license
• Ability to read and interpret welding blue prints and shop drawings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
