Job Details:

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of pulmonary function laboratory operations.
• Demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment, clinical aerosol medication delivery and emergency management procedures, related to performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• Calibration, operation and performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills, Epic EMR for documentation and scanning reports.
• Knowledge of accepted standards, policies, procedures, staff responsibilities and instrumentation related to provision of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• Performs and documentation of 6 minute walk tests.
• Patient/ Family Education as related to PFT testing, medication delivery systems, devices and Disease state management.
• Office practices in accordance with CDC guidelines for infection control and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from a Respiratory Therapy education program accredited by CoARC required.
• New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist license required. Minimum of 3 years' experience required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
• Basic computer skills.
• 3+ years of experience preferred.

Posted Salary Range: USD $53.46 - USD $61.45 /Hr. :
