Job Summary

Performs or assists with assembly, transport, calibration, disinfection, and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment. Assists with inventorying and stocking of respiratory supplies. Performs or assists with functions within the scope of Respiratory Therapy to include - but not limited to - oxygen therapy, equipment turn around, and cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent;

Active Enrollment in an AMA Accredited Respiratory Care Program after Successful Completion of First Semester.
Minimum Years of Experience: None.
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Required Training: None.

Essential Functions

Performs routine assembly, maintenance and cleaning of various types of respiratory equipment
Disinfection of patient care equipment and replacing disposable supplies.
Demonstrates the appropriate us of PPE.
Transport equipment to between inpatient units and procedural areas as directed by a Respiratory Therapist.
Maintains clean and organized Respiratory Therapy Department.

Duties & Responsibilities

Obtains needed equipment for Respiratory Therapist as requested.
Maintains and organized Respiratory Therapy equipment rooms on patient units.
Successful completion of all coarse objectives and demonstration of competencies in specific modality before performing patient care duties under the direct supervision of a Respiratory Therapist.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
