Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory therapy services for residents in the Vent Unit
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain life support systems
• Perform airway management, tracheostomy care, and suctioning procedures
• Verify physician orders for completeness, including diagnosis, ICD-10, duration, and FiO₂
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators per approved protocols
• Accept and accurately transcribe verbal orders; notify supervisors regarding all new starts
• Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments using patient history, lab results, and radiological findings
• Maintain equipment readiness, adequate supplies, and precise clinical documentation
• Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and rehabilitation teams to optimize resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in New Hampshire
• Minimum 1+ year of independent clinical practice experience (strict requirement)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through National Board for Respiratory Care
• Current BCLS certification
• Strong ventilator management and critical respiratory care experience preferred
