  • Required Skills: Adult Critical Care, NICU, Care of Patient With, Medication Administration, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex, Airway Management Devices/Suctioning, Endrotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management, Medication Delivery Systems, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Nebulizer, Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Oxygen therapy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Trach collar, Ventilator Management, BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures, Assist in high risk delivery, Umbilical blood gases, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo U

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Emergency Department, Bronchoscopy, Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Theophylline
  • Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience

Required Credentials:

  • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
  • Drivers License/State ID: Government issued photo ID. A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.
  • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • On Call/Weekend Requirement: No on call requirement, every other weekend required;
  • Holiday coverage expected

Floating Requirements: Float between Adult and NICU
