What You’ll Do
Assess & Monitor
Evaluate respiratory status, vital signs, and oxygen levels
Monitor residents on oxygen therapy, ventilators, and other treatments
Communicate changes promptly to the care team
Deliver High-Quality Care
Administer respiratory treatments including nebulizers and inhaled medications
Manage oxygen therapy and perform airway suctioning
Assist with tracheostomy care and airway management
Manage Equipment
Operate and monitor ventilators and respiratory devices
Troubleshoot issues and ensure equipment safety and functionality
Maintain equipment according to infection control standards
Educate & Support
Teach residents and families about respiratory care and equipment
Support residents with chronic conditions such as COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and sleep apnea
Promote improved breathing through therapeutic techniques
Collaborate & Document
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in care planning and team meetings
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation
What You Bring
Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Associate’s or Bachelor’s)
Active Respiratory Therapist license
NBRC certification (CRT or RRT)
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Experience with ventilators preferred
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
