You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Upon manager review with strong experience
  • Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that
  • Critical Care, General respiratory care experience

Preferred Credentials:

  • Manager will consider CRT based on experience
  • Required Education: AA Degree

Special Requests: Approval of time off? up to 7 days, must extend contract if taking a full week off.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 48hr/36hr rotating 12/6 hr shifts, every other weekend and holidays.
  • Rotating or straight nights
  • Weekend rotation: Every other
  • Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? Dependent on facility/job requisition
  • Home Health Call: every other week - Business hours are 0800-1730, call hours are 1730-0800 and weekends/holidays.
  • Spearfish: 1am-6am – 3 days per week
  • Spearfish: 1am-6am – 3 days per week
  • Will any other facilities have call requirements? Generally not unless it’s planned for events like the Rally at Rapid City Hospital. At Spearfish and Sturgis hospitals, we have call, so yes if we had needs there.
  • Holiday Expectations: Work on holidays that fall within contract dates

Floating Requirements:

  • RT Coverage throughout hospital and ED
  • Will not float to other facilities, unless hired for that specifically
