Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including acute care and ICU environments. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to improve respiratory function and overall health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and conditions.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment options, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and progress notes.
• Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pulmonology practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospital medicine or acute care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with geriatrics and critical care environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques and patient assessment skills.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions.
• Understanding of medical terminology related to respiratory therapy and pulmonology.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
