The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician. This position is per diem.
Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.- Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
- Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion.
- Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation

Required:
RT license in state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
Associate Respiratory Therapy
3 Years Respiratory care practitioner
1 Year Pediatric Critical Care
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
