Respiratory Therapist Location: Herrin, Illinois
Pay Rate: $55/hr to $60/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Night Shift, 6:00 PM 6:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year required

About the Role

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night-shift contract opportunity in Herrin, Illinois. This role provides respiratory care in a hospital setting and requires strong patient assessment, treatment planning, communication, and flexibility to float to clinically appropriate units as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care according to physician orders and patient care plans
Assess patient outcomes and adjust respiratory care plans with the multidisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, procedures, and discharge needs
Communicate with medical and nursing staff to support safe and effective care
Float to appropriate units as needed within scope, licensure, and demonstrated competency

Requirements

Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License Required
RRT Or CRT Credential Required
BLS/BCLS Certification Required
NRP-MHC Certification Required
Associate's degree required; EPIC experience preferred
