About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist with Apria, you’ll provide essential respiratory care, equipment setup, patient education, and ongoing clinical support for patients in their homes. This branch is experiencing significant growth in patient census, and we are adding staff to ensure we continue delivering exceptional patient care.

You’ll report to the General Manager and work closely with a highly tenured, stable, and collaborative branch staff, including one RT, a Customer Service Representative, and Drivers. This location is known for its strong teamwork and long‑term employee commitment.

Key Highlights

  • Work Arrangement: On-site with rotating on-call duties.

  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Relocation: Open to candidates; relocation assistance may be available.

  • Branch Status: Growing location — adding staff due to rising patient census.

Schedule

  • Standard hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Rotating on-call every 3 weeks.

  • Flexibility required for weekend coverage.

  • Field-based patient interactions, including same-day setups.

Travel Expectations

  • Local travel to homes and hospitals.

  • Mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile.

  • Must be comfortable traveling within the Madison Heights service area.

Salary Range

  • $30 – $32 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Complete same-day equipment setups in homes and hospitals.

  • Set up and support high-acuity respiratory equipment, including BPAP and CPAP.

  • Manage and conduct in-home follow-up programs.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide patient/caregiver support.

  • Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Collaborate closely with the branch team to ensure top-quality service.

Required

  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active Michigan RT License.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Excellent dependability and reliability.

  • Strong patient-care mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
