Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served the greater San Diego community since 1924. For more than a century, we continue to provide distinguished care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. Scripps La Jolla was the first in San Diego to be designated a Magnet Hospital by the American Nursing Association.
Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.
This is a benefited, part time, night shift position as an RCP at La Jolla Memorial hospital.

In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates action for respiratory care. Performs all technical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care. Performs other core responsibilities to maintain the flow of patient care. May provide additional patient care within their scope of practice as permitted by licensure, certificate or training. Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.

Experience/Specialized Skills: Prefer one or more years acute care experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public. Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English. Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.
Required Certification/Registration: Current California RCP license required. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
