Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) – CPAP Setup Specialist (1099 Contractor)

The Role

As our lead RT, you will be responsible for the clinical success of our CPAP patients. You will perform initial setups, fit masks, and provide the essential education that ensures long-term therapy adherence. This is a flexible, "on-call" style position perfect for a therapist looking for supplemental income or a flexible schedule.

Job Title: Location: Arlington, TX (In-office & Local Patient Travel)

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (Based on experience). Per job payment options will be considered.

Job Type: Part-time, Contract (1099)

What You’ll Do

  • Patient Setup: Conduct in-office or in-home setups for CPAP/BiLevel equipment.
  • Clinical Education: Instruct patients on equipment use, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Mask Fitting: Perform clinical mask fittings to minimize leaks and improve patient comfort.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Use ResMed AirView to monitor patient adherence during the initial 90-day period and provide coaching to "at-risk" patients.
  • Documentation: Complete all clinical notes, proof of delivery (POD), and education checklists required for insurance billing (Humana/Medicare).

About Us: Rosa Medical Equipment is a growing DME startup dedicated to improving sleep health in our community. We are looking for a professional, patient-focused Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a contractor to lead our new CPAP/Sleep therapy program.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License (Required).
  • NBRC Credential (RRT or CRT).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in DME or Home Health preferred.
  • Proficiency with ResMed AirView or similar compliance software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local patient visits.
  • Must carry individual Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice).

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with basic software, GPS/mapping tools, and learning DME-specific billing systems.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Collaborative: Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
  • Problem Solver: Most importantly, ability to think on their feet and solve problems, e.g. when a delivery goes sideways, or a patient has an urgent need, you stay calm and find a solution.
