Responsibilities:
- Assessment/reassessment/Diagnosis and Outcomes - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. Analyzes assessment to determine diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.

Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations and policy.

Evaluation and Discharge - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.

Professional Practice

Provides care for patients during cardiopulmonary rehab evaluations and exercise sessions.

Responds to emergency care.
Qualifications:
Education
-
Associates degree in respiratory therapy (RRT) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy (BSRT) preferred.
Experience
-
Previous experience in acute care working with patients experiencing cardiac and pulmonary disease preferred.
Licensure/Certification
-
Current Oklahoma Respiratory Therapist license is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to providing patient care and maintained throughout duration of employment.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) is required within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Good communication and computer skills.
Compensation/Benefits

$25.74-$42.03/hr depending on previous work experience.
