Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist within our Respiratory Therapy department at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care

Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit

Responds to critical situations

Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties

Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:

Current California RCP license
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.

Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prefer one or more years acute care experience.

Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.

NICU level 2 experience is preferred

Position Pay Range: $42.51-$61.62/hour
