Responsibilities
- Engage in age-appropriate, enjoyable activities such as playing with bubbles, listening to music, and watching kid-friendly shows
- Provide personal cares as needed
- Maintain a safe, calm, and comforting environment
- Offer emotional support and reassurance, especially during moments of frustration or upset
- Be attentive to the child’s needs, preferences, and triggers, including avoiding loud noises and other sources of distress
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s needs and well-being
Qualifications
- Previous experience with childcare, babysitting, or respite care preferred
- Patient, gentle, and compassionate demeanor
- Comfortable providing personal cares
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to understand and respond to the child’s needs, including navigating communication barriers
