Restaurant cashier

Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and efficient Restaurant Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, handling transactions with accuracy and providing excellent customer service. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in a friendly manner.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, including food handling areas and POS equipment, following sanitation standards.
• Support food preparation and food service tasks as needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure quick service and minimal wait times for guests.

Experience

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as cashiering, food service, or retail math is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus.
• Experience working in quick service or fast food restaurants helps in managing high-volume transactions smoothly.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills are important for accuracy in cash handling and sales reporting.
• Background in culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning about food preparation is appreciated.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
